Saudi Arabia is +8 hours on Eastern Time / +11 on the West Coast.

December 31st, the Rally Raid starts in Sea Camp, Saudi Arabia and races North than South East before racing to North to the city of Dammam.

A 333 KM SPECIAL ON THE MENU OF THE CAR AND TRUCK RACES

Only the cars and trucks will take the start of stage 7 today. A special stretching for 333 km awaits the competitors in the two categories. In the first part, the drivers and co-drivers will have to slalom between canyons and valleys, while the second part of the course alternates between fast and slow, with a few stony passages where punctures are a real hazard. The home straight is peppered with dunes.

Yazeed Al Rajhi started near the back of the field in 40th place after running into mechanical trouble yesterday. The Saudi picked up his third career Dakar stage win, the first one in this edition, but he remains over five hours behind the overall leader. The stage win restored his honour and netted him some W2RC points. Al Rajhi came in third in the 2022 W2RC.

GUTHRIE MAKES IT THREE | T3

Mitch Guthrie was the fastest driver in today's special. The American put 1′45″ into "Chaleco" López and 1′58″ into João Ferreira. Seth Quintero finished just outside the podium at a shade under three minutes. Although Guillaume de Mevius came in seventh, 8′13″ down on Guthrie, the Belgian lost a measly 30 seconds to Austin Jones, who finished just ahead of him, thus defending his overall lead.

If it wasn't for a disastrous stage 5, Mitch and Kellon would be leading T3.
