NUMBER 2 FOR AL ATTIYAH | T1
03:04

Nasser Al Attiyah was the fourth driver to start this morning, and took control of the special at the midway point. The Qatari then ensured a sufficient distance with his three rivals (Stéphane Peterhansel, Sébastien Loeb and Carlos Sainz) to pick up his second stage victory of the year by almost two minutes. Sainz finished the day in second place, whilst “Peter” put a second Audi on the day’s podium. Sébastien Loeb was well placed for the win, but the nine times winner of the WRC rolled his car onto its side a little more than 100 km from the finish, causing him to lose almost quarter of an hour.
