January 10th-15th, the Rally Raid continues from Ha'il through the North Eastern area of Saudi Arabia before heading to West, than South along the Red Sea, finishing in Jeddah.

Andrew Short has started the first stage of the Dakar. The 38-year-old American recently left Husqvarna for a new challenge with Yamaha, where he will be sharing the stable with the likes of Adrien van Beveren, Franco Caimi, Jamie McCanney and Ross Branch.
