2012 Bristol #1 Race Weekend Info & Discussion

Join in here and discuss all the weekend action for the 2012 Bristol #1 cup race. Robby Gordon will attempt to qualify the #7 SPEED Energy Dodge into the field. Here is the weekend schedule for RGM at the Tennessee track. UPDATE: Robby Gordon had to withdraw after the McClaren techs couldnt diagnose the problem with the EFI/ECU shorting out. Car would not start.

FRIDAY , MARCH 16th

Practice 12:00pm - 1:30 pm/et ( TV - SPEED )
Qualifying 3:30pm - 4:30 pm/et ( TV - SPEED )

all they can do is replace everything they can to get the car to fire. A backup car isn't an option.

Indycar & F1 have used the same Spec McLaren ECU for years and have never had any problems. It's no different then anything else, you follow the directions and you'll be fine but if you try to blaze through it without reading the directions you're screwed. I'm sure with all the Offroad stuff being EFI forever now that RGM has people on-staff that are experts are reading/programing that stuff.
