We live in an on-demand society. Why is football far and away the number one sport? There's stuff going on the whole game. You can go on Red-Zone channel and see a TD every 5 minutes. Why has baseball declined? Too slow, only a few interesting moments in a game. The game itself hasn't changed, the attention span of the viewer has. Same with Nascar. The hardcore fans follow their guy the whole race but the casual fan is bored.

So if the hardcore fan watches the whole race wouldn't it make sense to cater to us . Go back to carb engines , stock looking cars , get rid of the damn claw template & go back to the original template system . If a Ford is more aerodynamic than a Chevy oh well guess they shoulda built a better car . Put the race back in the drivers hand , not the engineers . Basically go back to the way it was in the 80s but still keep the safety innovations .

I love the debate about what is wrong with NAZICAR, there's really no wrong answer. WARNING: There is no room on the road coarse band wagon.

Michael, I grew up going to Riverside International Raceway and love the road course's can we make just a little more room? This was long before NASCAR was televised regularly so road raceing was all I knew. just a personal plea knowing that the powers that be will never let it happen........But how cool would a cup race at Brutons Nurburgring idea be?? 13 miles of awsome road course high speed straights and lot's of places to pass.

Hap Sharp rules.

Most say he cheated with the vaccum cleaner/wing.

It's become just the opposite for me. I used to enjoy NASCAR, but the last few years, focusing more just on Robby, I don't pay as much attention to the other action go on. I spend my time during the race watching and viewing chat, constantly looking at the scroll to see how far behind he is, is he close to going a lap down, will there be a caution before he goes a lap down, how many laps down he is, is he in the lucky dog, how far behind the lucky dog, why isn't he on the track, what is the issue? There is hardly any time to watch the rest of the action. I've actually enjoyed the overall races more the last couple of weeks because I can just sit there and watch the race. Don't get me wrong, I wish Robby was running. But it's more work trying to keep up when he is. That said, I'll be glad to do it.

Bruton Smith just said on Sirius radio that they will be putting the track back the way it was.

The way it was ..................Does that mean blacktop?????????? I don'y think they are going to do anything but.............hey it's almost Wednesday that means a new topic......... grrrrrreeeaaattt !!!

An article said he is listening to the feedback of the fans.

Oh and before I crash and I'm sure I'll repeat this..............concerns with sponsorship seem to effected by the economy which could have something do with jobs available so make a statement and buy only Candy made in the U.S.A. (or canada for our fans across the border) to put in those baskets a magical Rabbit delivers in a couple few weeks. Baby steps like boycotting jelly beans from Brazil (hope the racing gets better /Political sidestep/) and other such sweets..............Leave thumper a can of Speed even.

"Baby steps like boycotting jelly beans from Brazil" Sorry, but Brasil is one of my favorite places to go and I won't be boycotting anything from there. Here's one of the reasons why - https://www.google.com/search?q=Brazil+Women&hl=en&prmd=imv...
