Just amused to see people think a car comes to a track with nothing to tweak or correct. These cars are torn down repeatedly and parts changed out or serviced. You just don't hear about the little problems. The media just knows that this is a RGM chance to shine and so any little problem you see the underdog have, you will exploit for viewers.
You would not go and test at VIR and not come back and change engine along with other items, like brakes, so you are always looking for the little things to keep them from developing into large ones.

They had an issue. They fixed the issue. Still an entire practice session remaining. For the issue to happen at THE START of opening practice, I consider that very lucky, all things considered.

They don't need to go fast for this practice. They should want to go out early for qualifying tomorrow.

26th. RG's plan may include fuel mileage, so being fast in practice might not be the goal

RG at WG or Sonoma is never happy being outside the top 10 - 1st practice, 2nd practice quals or race. Expectations of himself here are very high
