Join in here and discuss all the weekend action for the 2011 Phoenix #1 cup race. Robby Gordon will drive the #7 Bashas/SPEED Energy Dodge.The team had a 14th place finish last year at Phoenix.Here is the weekend schedule for RGM at the Arizona track.

At lot of changes for Phoenix. There is the new nose which may change the setup requirements. The new fuel with less gas mileage that will change the pit strategy and then there is the track tempature which impacts both setup and mileage. 'Bones' is going be challendged with this race.

This will be the first true test of the new pit crew....most stops will be 4 and fuel, which will be the first time for everyone on pit road doing that at the same time...
Slugger Labbe said the #27 (Menard) used 5 sets of tires the ENTIREspeed weeks...
Allegedly, it takes longer to put two full cans of fuel in now than it does to change 4 tires...and the teams still have ot figure out who's turning the bar for adjustments

Will be an interesting day on pit road for sure..as 15 secs is now the new 13 secs taking 4 and full fuel

there will be a learning curve , no doubt. Big difference between race conditions & pit practice. The pitcrew goes into each week well prepared & thats all you can ask for.
