Comp Caution at lap 40
for those in chat that kept asking why Reed didn't go back out. Here why!
34 31 34 David Gilliland Front Row Motorsports Ford 357 11 1 47.5 $68,750 Accident
35 27 1 Jamie McMurray McDonald's Chevy 85 9 47.2 $107,314 Accident
36 37 7 Reed Sorenson(i) SPEED Energy Dodge 77 0 34.5 $68,650 Vibration
9 laps would have gained one more point (BFD) look how much $ Gilliland earned by running up the bill. $100 bucks more income. For that they had to pay full lease on an engine (75-100K) and at least 6sets of tires (appr. 9k)
Someone asked why Joe Nemechek can make it more than 40ish laps. Thats why, he's not stupid. As you can see Gilliland didn't even pay for the engine lease.
That's Crazy, Thanks Mike for the info....
@JR, your right. You want is see crazy look at these numbers. And remember Harvick ran out of tires (10 sets at $1600,for round #'s)
4 5 29 Kevin Harvick Budweiser Chevy 500 41 1 110.9 $139,386
5 11 11 Denny Hamlin FedEx Ground Toyota 500 40 1 120.7 $131,350
6 23 31 Jeff Burton Caterpillar Chevy 500 38 91.3 $91,225
7 9 88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Diet Mt. Dew Paint the 88 / National Guard Chevy 500 37 100.1 $89,150
8 24 56 Martin Truex Jr. NAPA Auto Parts Toyota 500 36 92.4 $88,425
9 1 99 Carl Edwards Scotts Winterguard Ford 500 36 1 79 $123,916
10 12 39 Ryan Newman HAAS Automation Chevy 500 35 1 95 $118,225
here's 4th-10th and if these teams had to pay for just engine leases and tires they'd go broke
and for those that missed Carl Edward's post race interview. He was suprised to at how bad is team was today compared to how will he teammates Matt Kenseth and AJ Dingerran. So for those that don't think Rat in the Hat has a hand in all the 'A' Ford teams, there you go.
Smart race by RGM today, especially considering all the crazy driving out there! Not worth staying out any longer.
Yeah true, but the race would have been 100x more exiting if RGM planned on a whole race.
And was going to kick some ass.

With all the heated moments ya know rob would have been racing hard
