as you say that,I'm suprised this weekend isn't a night race.Do they have lights? (it may not rain this weekend here and might make 70)
no lights in KS
There are lights in Kansas. Running an arca race in October that will be the first night race. Lights are already up. Guess they are just waiting to turn them on. Also there is casino under construction in turn two. So now I will be able to lose my ass after a race!
it's all good
NASCAR doesn't need anymore night races, in fact they should ease up on it. Seems like fewer and fewer are in daytime.
I respectfully disagree. "saturday night races" are my favorite. Reminds me of my childhood at the dirt oval. There is room for both day and night races.
having too many night races makes it less special, that's just my opinion.
But its hot out during the day. A night race can ease the pain.
Very true Chris.....been to Talladega in the the blistering heat and humidity.....stood shoulder to shoulder on those reflective aluminum bleachers. I probably lost 50 lbs that day!

(BTW .....I'm not going to another plate race until they get this stupid bufu racing figured out...the event looks like a 3-legged race at a company pick-nic)
Just throwing in my 2 cents to this discussion, I think tracks like night races. NASCAR weekends run from Thur to Sun. If it's a Sat night race, it cuts off one day of operation. So in my opinion, it's less racing for the fans. I like day races, and the ones that transition from day to night. Those throw another factor for the teams to deal with.
Thursday-Sunday= more money.
yes night races are alot easier to party and a day to recover before work on monday, also later on if there is NFL no need to even try head to head wit them
