Why doesn't Robby and crew follow someone else on strategy one time? Follow someone like Stewart, or god forbid jeffy, who finished 2nd and 9th. Follow someone who rarely gets beat by strategy calls? It's obvious they can't do it on their own... As soon as Stewart pitted and Robby didn't I knew he was in trouble!
We followed the strategy of the guys who finished 1st and 2nd. Did you watch the race?
Hmmm the way I saw it we stayed out two laps longer than Stewart and got burnt! Bad luck maybe. But tou had to know it was coming. My question is the announcement was made that the caution was out, they flashed back to the flagman from labontes car. They show him waving the yellow and you see Robby flashing under it. Why wouldn't his spotter tell him to pit when he saw Bobby sitting there? It wasn't like it had just happened. He was sitting for a while. You know the caution was coming!!
I agree. I think the strategy today was pretty in line with what everyone else did. They knew their window and wanted to make sure that they were within that window if the race had a Green-White-Checker ending. What they couldn't predict was that the caution would come out on the lap before that they were going to pit. And, in hindsight, they also couldn't predict that there would be so many cautions that lasted 4 or 5 laps a piece during that last run.
The strategy was right, problem was Robby wanting to lead a lap at that point. If they would have stuck to it leading at the end would have gotten the 5 points. Or at least a better finish. I kewn when they blew the call the day would go to total sh#t. Just the way it is with Robby.
Exactly... When I saw Tony come in and we didn't my stomach sank... knowing it was only a matter of time... And when they showed his in car it was even worse... I mean we've seen him restart 25th before, and come flying through the field... but even with 33 laps he only passed cars as they wrecked...
What a shit show........... Should have listened to Larry Mac........not what I was hoping for, what happened in the end he was 16th or so then 36th?
so RGfan what's up with you LOL when Robby got caught up in the spin at the end of the race? You can not talk shit and make one post and fool any one, so #u(k you!
I will you want to have one with me? Let me guess AMPED with jack right?
Mike, this is why I cant play on the planet. I cant see how some of the Planet members call themselves fans and yet criticize every move by the team, good or bad. I guess they have the whole sport figured out. I wonder why these folks arent on a pit box?
TOG: Thanks for the chat today and all the hard work you put into this site. I hope we get to keep chatting on race day.
Of course. I only tuned it off because it was at a dead end today. Back in action next week.
